TL;DR

Cybersecurity at your company is a team sport. your security team is here to make it easier for you to do real work safely — not to lecture you. Three things you'll learn this week, and one promise we make about getting it wrong.

Welcome to your company

Most people show up on day one thinking "security" is a hallway of red tape — long policies, training videos with people in suits, and an unspoken rule that asking questions makes you look new.

That's not how it works here.

Cybersecurity at your company is a team sport. The whole point is for you to focus on the real job you were hired to do, while we make sure the small day-to-day decisions about logins, links, and data don't blow up in your face. your security team works for you, not the other way around.

What you'll actually learn this week

By the end of this course, you'll know how to:

  • Log in like a pro — passwords, MFA, password managers, and the one thing that ends most account takeovers
  • Spot the scams aimed at new hires — yes, attackers know it's your first week, and they target you for exactly that reason
  • Handle data safely — what's okay to share with vendors, AI tools, and your personal email, and what should never leave the company
  • Use AI without leaking your work — the short version of what's safe to paste, and what's not
  • Know who to call — for "this looks weird" through "I think I did something I shouldn't have"

We've kept it to about 25 minutes. No filler. No "click next to continue" exercises.

The one promise we make

You will mess something up at some point. Click a link. Paste something you shouldn't. Lose a laptop. Forward an email to the wrong person.

When it happens, tell your security team immediately. You will not get in trouble for reporting. The vast majority of small mistakes are easy to fix — but only if we hear about them fast.

People who hide a mistake turn a 10-minute problem into a 10-day investigation. People who tell us right away are the heroes of every incident we've ever had.

That's the deal: be quick to ask, quick to tell, and we've got your back.
